About Us
At Newbury we believe riding,
training and showing should be pleasurable and enriching experiences for
both horse and rider. We strive to foster an environment based on open
communication that promotes teamwork, learning and an unwavering pursuit
of excellence.
Whether you want to go to indoors or start a green hunter we will work
with you to identify attainable goals and provide a formula by which you
will successfully achieve them.
Cory
Hardy has been involved with horses for twenty years. As a junior Cory
rode with Mitch and Kathy Steege and then David Oliynyk’s Genesis Farm
earning top equitation finishes in the USEF Medal Finals, MHJ and NEHC
Championships where he received the highest Horsemanship Exam score for
three consecutive years. Later Cory rode for his family’s Exodus Farm and
Skip Billingham competing extensively from the Pre-Green Hunters through
the Grand Prix Jumpers earning championships and top finishes at the
Upperville Colt and Horse Show, Fairfield County Hunt Club Horse Show,
Vermont Summer Festival, and The Fidelity Jumper Classic.
Cory coaches juniors and
adults in all levels of hunters, jumpers, and equitation, is a
Massachusetts licensed riding instructor and holds a BS in Journalism from
Boston University.

Jean Sheptoff enjoyed a
successful junior career under trainer Timmy Kees, placing at the USEF
Medal Finals, USET East Coast Medal Finals, and NEHC and CHJA Junior Medal
Championships. Jean also earned the Reserve Champion at the Zone 1 ASPCA
Maclay Regionals and was year end champion in both the Large Junior Hunter
and Junior Jumper division for Zone I. She competed on the Prix de States
Junior Jumper team at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show and has won
classes or earned championships at such prestigious shows as the
Washington International Horse Show, Pennsylvania National Horse Show,
Lake Placid, and the Winter Equestrian Festival in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Jean has an undergraduate
degree in Marketing and earned her MBA in General Business Management from
Bentley College in Waltham, Ma.
Rebecca
Dichter is a 15 year horse industry veteran. As a junior she
specialized in bringing along young horses, and successfully competed
them on the local and "A" circuits in the hunters, jumpers, and
equitation. Rebecca earned a BS in Animal Science from UMass, Amherst,
and along the way co-founded and then co-captained the UMass Polo Team.
Rebecca went on to run the lesson program and summer camp for 6 years
for Janie Weber at Stepping Stone Farm in Ridgefield, CT. There, she
taught 75 students weekly, from pre-school to adult, walk-trot, to
junior jumper. Before making the move to Massachusetts to be with her
fiancé, Rebecca spent 6 months in California on the "A" circuit. She
worked for Keri Kampsen and Joe Thorpe, of Sovereign Place & Monarch
International as their "pony specialist." With her help, Monarch
International's small pony, Cardiff Mardi Gras, finished 2007 as the No.
3 small pony hunter in the country.
Rebecca is a Massachusetts licensed instructor, who specializes in
making riding fun and safe at every level. She believes in
goal-oriented lessons, positive reinforcement, building from a strong
foundation, and always going home happy. She hopes to pass on her
passion for everything equine to each and every student.
